Momik WineCube is a wine tasting room and vineyard. Here, the excursion takes place in the vineyard, where guests learn about the history of the vineyard, local grape varieties and winemaking. Two-hectare vineyard is located in the Arpa River valley, on the edge of the Areni village. And the winery is located in Areni village.

History

The history of Momik began with a small vineyard planted in the 1960s. Decades later, Nver Ghazaryan continued his father's work, expanding the vineyard and creating Momik Wines. The vineyard currently occupies two hectares of land, where some 60 years old vines still bear fruit.

Wine tasting

Momik produces high-quality red, white, rose, and orange wines. The following grape varieties are used for wine production: Black Areni, White Areni, Voskehat (Kharji) and Tozot.
In good weather, the tasting is held outdoors, with a beautiful views of the vineyard and the surrounding mountains. There is no music here. It is a wonderful place to enjoy high-quality wines and beautiful views in silence.

Vineyard Tour

The excursion takes place in the vineyard, accompanied by Nver. Nver introduces guests to the vineyard's history and the secrets of viticulture and winemaking. The vineyard's dominant varieties are the endemic Black Areni and Voskehat (Kharji) grapes. In September and October, you can taste grapes from the vineyard and participate in a grape-pressing ceremony.

Momik's vineyard has been listed among the 10 most beautiful vineyards in Europe.
