Hiking in Debed Gorge: Odzun - Horomayr Monastery - Kobayr Monastery.
The route includes 3 of the most famous monasteries of Armenia: Odzun, Horomayr, and Kobayr. And throughout the hike, hikers will enjoy fantastic views of the Debed Gorge.
The route begins at Odzun Monastery and continues through the Odzun village to the edge of Debed Gorge. The plain ends here, which is located at an altitude of 1100 meters above sea level. Then begins the mountain trail, which gradually descends along the slope of the gorge to Kobayr Monastery (900 meters above sea level). The magnificent Horomayr Monastery is located on the way, which is merged into the rocks and caves.
After Horomayr Monastery, the trail continues to Kobayr Monastery. The end of the trail passes through the forest.
The hike can also start from Kobayr Monastery and ascend to Odzun.
