- Drakhtik, Gegharkunik
- From Yerevan 102 km
- Apr - Nov
The horseback riding tour starts from the Drakhtik village and continues in the Areguni Mountains. The Drakhtik village is located near Lake Sevan, 100 km from Yerevan.
Before the tour, a tea/coffee treat awaits the participants and then meet the horses.
With an experienced local escort, participants move to the Areguni Mountains, where the first stop is the spectacular Eagle Rock. Standing on the edge of the cliff with a horse gives unforgettable feelings.
The route continues in the direction of Lake Sevan, at the end of which there will be a second stop. From here, a wonderful view of Lake Sevan opens.
Then the participants return to Drakhtik along a slightly different route.
The length of the route is 5-6 km, and the duration is 2-3 hours.
If desired, the route can be continued to Drakhtik forests (7-9 hours), then to the shore of Lake Sevan (overnight in tents).
It is noteworthy that all the horses taking part in the tour are mares. Mares are more calm and obedient. They are all groomed and trained for horseback riding.
At the end, you can have lunch and dinner at the local tavern, and spend a pleasant time around the campfire in the evening.
You can participate in the horseback riding as a group or as a team.
