The natural stone arch of Kapuyt village is one of the wonders of nature not only in Vayots Dzor region, but also in Armenia. The basalt arch stands at the foot of huge cliffs. Despite its impressive size, the arch is difficult to spot from afar, as it and the surrounding cliffs are the same color. As you approach, the brown arch seems to appear in front of you and amazes with its shape.
Right behind the arch flows a waterfall, the waters of which pass under the arch. It is apparent that the main reason for the formation of the arch is water erosion.
The trail leading to the arch includes the medieval cemetery of Kapuyt village and a rock covered with khachkars. This route is a wonderful destination for lovers of horseback riding and easy hiking.
